DESCRIPTION:Bioscience Council Meeting\, hosted by LAEDC and Center for a Competitive Workforce (CCW) \nDate: Thursday\, February 25\, 2021 \nTime: 1:00pm -2:15pm \nRSVP Link: https://ccwbiosciencecouncil.splashthat.com \n\n\nLAEDC’s Bioscience Industry Council is focused on workforce development\, unlike its other industry councils which are more broadly focused.  As such\, the bioscience council covers hot issues related to talent development\, hiring\, skills that the industry needs\, and pathways into these careers that serve business\, job seekers and students\, as well as faculty who are adapting programs and seeking employers for work-based learning opportunities and related programs.\n\n\n\nCCW is sponsoring this event to assist the community college system with more successful outcomes in LA’s growing bioscience industry.\nThe program will review workforce development issues\, such as evolving skills requirements and related training programs and talent perspectives to inform college faculty and other training systems that are preparing talent for this industry.\n\n\n\n\n\nFor inquiries and details please contact Claire Anderson at LAEDC:  claire.anderson@laedc.org
